Luis Enrique has confirmed that the former Liverpool player will make his debut for the club in Saturday’s Clasico against Real Madrid after his suspension for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup came to an end.
Zambrotta, who spent two seasons playing at Camp Nou between 2006 and 2008, says any further controversies would not be tolerated now the striker is wearing Barca colours.
The 98-times capped Italy international insists self-control is a vital quality on the pitch and stressed his belief that the Uruguayan has finally learned his lesson.
"When you come to Barcelona, you join ‘more than a club’," the 37-year-old Zambrotta told Goal, referring to Barca’s famous mes que un club slogan.
"You have to follow a special code, so after what happened in the World Cup between him and Chiellini, he has to improve his self-control.
"However, I am confident he will have no problem in settling at Barcelona."
Barcelona have made an impressive start to the new Liga season in Suarez’s absence, winning seven and drawing one of their first eight matches without conceding a goal.
Madrid, on the other hand, have suffered two defeats and sit four points adrift of Luis Enrique’s men going into the crunch clash at the Bernabeu.
