Investigators say Malaysia Airlines plane MH17 was hit 'with large number of high-energy objects'.

A preliminary report by the Dutch Safety Board (DSB) into the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 will be released today.

It will show that the wreckage of the plane was "consistent with the damage that would be expected from a large number of high-energy objects that penetrated the aircraft from outside".

Ten Britons were among 298 people killed when the plane crashed over Ukraine on July 17.

The report will be issued by the DSB, which is leading the investigation into the disaster.
